The Hub Family Resource Centre is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to providing dynamic, educational, and enjoyable programs and services to families in Wood Buffalo and their children, from newborns to eighteen years old – all at no cost. Our Fort McMurray location serves as a hub of activity, while our Hub on Wheels Program (HOW) brings our valuable programs to rural communities. Our mission is to strengthen the well-being and resiliency of parents, caregivers, children and families in Wood Buffalo.

In 2022, we had the privilege of creating a positive impact in the lives of 3200 unique individuals with a diverse range of programs. Why do these programs matter?

Fostering Healthy Development: We provide free early learning, child development, and family support services, creating an environment where children can flourish and families can thrive.

Family Access Services: Our Safe Visitation and Exchange programs ensure families facing challenges can maintain healthy connections in a secure and supportive setting.

Resilience in the Face of Challenges: Your donation helps us empower families to develop resilience in the face of life's challenges. We offer a helping hand during difficult times, ensuring families have the resources they need.

Building Strong, Supportive Relationships: We believe in the power of relationships. Your support enables us to offer services that strengthen family bonds and create a foundation for a supportive community.

Raising Healthy Children: Through our programs, we contribute to the physical, emotional, and intellectual well-being of children, laying the groundwork for a healthier and brighter future.

Proudly affiliated with the Wood Buffalo Family Resource Network, we collaborate with the YMCA of Northern Alberta and WJS Canada as part of a province-wide initiative by the Government of Alberta. Together, we offer inclusive and accessible family-focused, child and youth-centered, community-based programs and services tailored to the needs of families and children and youth ages 0-18.

At The Hub, we aspire to be a home away from home for parents, caregivers, and children in Wood Buffalo. Our success is owed to the unwavering support from our community and numerous stakeholders who have played a crucial role in helping us meet the diverse needs of our Hub families.
